Zidoo Video Player Menus Overview
Zidoo internal video player supports accurate resolution and frame rate switching (23.976,59.94,25,30,50,60), HEVC/ H.265/ 10bit/ 12Bit, HDR10+, HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Video formats can all be played, such as BD/UHD BDMV/ISO, MVC 3D (Blu-ray, MKV), MKV, M2TS, MTS, TS, MP4, MOV, AVI, WMV, MPG, MPEG, VOB, FLV, 3GP, TP etc.
1. How to access the subtitle menu?
Press the “Menu”key on the remote control to see the subtitle menu on the film playback page.
2. Subtitle Menu
2.1 Subtitle Selection
Turn off subtitles or choose subtitle language.
2.2 Subtitle Settings
There are three main subtitle formats including PGS graphic subtitle, ASS special effects subtitle and SRT subtitle. Different subtitles have different settings.
2.2.1 PGS graphic subtitle
Position and brightness can be adjusted for PGS graphic subtitles.
*Adjust the subtitle position to move subtitles inside or outside images.
*White subtitles for HDR films look dazzling, the problem can be solved by adjusting subtitle brightness.
2.2.2 External ASS special effect subtitle
Much more settings for ASS subtitles compared with PGS subtitles.
Display: size, position and brightness can all be adjusted.
Encode: keep settings by default.
Offset: this function can be used when subtitle and video playback are not synchronous.
Font: ASS special effect subtitle will need to download and add font.
2.2.3 External SRT subtitle
It is similar to the ASS subtitle setting except a little difference in color and special effects.
2.2.4 Internal SRT/ASS subtitle
2.3 Subtitle Download
Film name should correspond to the naming rule to search subtitles online successfully.
2.4 Add Subtitle
Add subtitles from local storage for current playback film.
3. Audio Track Menu
Switch or turn off audio track.
4.Blu-ray Menu
4.1 Choose a movie chapter.
4.2 Select the film title, there are several episodes for Blu-ray menu to be chosen.

It is similar to music play mode, when one episode ends, it will play the next episode automatically.
8. Advanced Setting
8.1 Automatic frame rate
When playing local films, Zidoo players can switch to the original frame rate and resolution of the film.

8.2.1 Dialog Prompt
When playing the movie again after it exists during playback, a prompt box will pop up. You can use the remote control to choose ”Start over” or “Continue”.
8.2.2 Text Prompt (recommended)
When playing the movie again after it has existed during playback, it will automatically continue playing the movie from last ended time, a text prompt will also pop up in the upper right corner of the screen, press left key to start over.
8.3 HDR to SDR
Adjust the brightness, contrast, hue and saturation etc.
8.4 Video Information
Display video information as shown below. Video information can also be displayed by pressing “info” key on the remote control.
8.5 Global aspect ratio
Use the same ratio for all videos, it is not recommended to turn it on except for special demand.
8.6 Subtitle Brightness
The subtitle brightness function is for PGS and external ASS subtitle brightness adjustment.
All content: taking effect for all videos.
HDR content: taking effect for HDR only.
Single subtitle:taking effect for current video only.
8.7 Screen Cover
It is used for 2.35:1 screen , so that video and menu/UI will be displayed perfectly on the screen.
8.8 Audio Offset
It will help to synchronize audio and video.
8.9 3D force play with 2D
All 3D videos will convert to 2D after turning on “3D force play with 2D”.
8.10 Force 3D TV
When a display device cannot recognize 3D films, it can output 3D compulsorily.
8.11 More Settings
8.11.1 Show video information when pausing.
8.11.2 Show video name when starting playback.
8.11.3 Clear Cache: delete downloaded subtitles for the video.
